Is there a way to speed up my internet?

I am using my neighbors internet at camp. (I'm not stealing it they gave me the password cause there never there.) Anyways I'm right on the edge of the range and it works really slow. Is there something I can buy of Amazon to boost my signal to boost my signal? I have a macbook pro with Mac OS X version 10.6.7
