Travelling with a young french bulldog from Denmark to Ohio, USA?

In early june I am planning on travelling from Copenhagen, Denmark to Columbus, Ohio along with my (at this time 11 week old) puppy and my mate. I have contacted the airline about this and was informed everything that they needed me to know but was also suggested to look into the regulations concerning entering the specific state, in this case, Ohio to be sure I had what was required other than the typical vaccination papers and possibly his microchip info which may likely need translations. I tried looking up this info but all I could really find was info about travelling from Ohio, or USA for that matter, to Europe which is not relevant for me when I am in fact doing the opposite. During the trip to and from we will at some point travel through Holland, France and Detroit airport but final destination is to visit Columbus, Ohio and return to Copenhagen, Denmark about 2 weeks after, of course with my puppy as he is not staying in Ohio but returning with me.
