Question about Garages in the San Fernando Valley (CA) ?

I'm looking at real estate, and notice most homes in the SFV have attached garages or small garages with an alleyway entrance only feet away from the garage door. Are there any areas in the SFV with older homes which may have a long driveway (at least 50ft) with a 2 car or more garage detached from the house? I'm guessing all new developments have attached garages.
